VGD Corporate Finance acted as exclusive financial advisor and partner in providing structured project financing to refinance existing loans and to expand and invest in robotic equipment for EMERGE, a.s. in the amount of CZK 570 million. Financing was provided by J&T Bank, a.s.

Michal Černý, who managed the transaction for VGDCF, said: “The key moments of the transaction were to correctly define and schedule the financing of individual components of the balance sheet (working capital / long-term assets / investments), to structure the project investment lines according to production life cycles in the company, to prepare a parametric five-year financial business plan, and to find a suitable bank in which the company could obtain a stable financial partner. I believe that EMERGE, a.s has found this in J&T Bank, a.s.”.

The majority owner and the managing director of EMERGE, a.s. Filip Takáč said following in relation to the transaction: “Cooperation with VGDCF has enabled us to set a long-term strategy for the company and in particular to finance the planned expansion of our group. With secured resources we can now devote our time to the areas we know best, which is primarily the precision manufacturing of automotive parts and logistics.

EMERGE, a.s. was founded in 1991 in Bakov nad Jizerou and its main activity is the production of technological products especially for the automotive segment and to provide logistics services. The most important customer is ŠKODA AUTO a.s. The company generated revenues of approximately CZK 1.3 billion in 2017 and plans to double its turnover within 3 years. The company employs more than 50% of people with disabilities. This contributes socially and has a great benefit for the clients.
